Round three of the FA Cup this year too, had two Premier League clubs matched together. Two title contenders, battle of the juggernauts they were calling it. Well, whoever they are, they also assumed Sp*rs as challengers this year and MancheAter united last year. So, basically, they are cricket fans.
This game, where we hosted Liverpool for the FA Cup tie was hyped to the right note by the media and Mikel also by doing a Klopp and urging the atmosphere at the Emirates to be hostile. The fans adhered to the boss's command. They bombarded the stadium with their voice right from the kickoff or even an hour before that precisely when the Liverpool lineup was announced, exactly when Arsenal felt they could run a tank over this Liverpool side w/o Van Dijk and Mo Salah.
It's the FA Cup after all.
It's our competition.
We have won it more than any bloody else has.
This is the season of silverware.
Come on No Mo and no VVD, too easy now this one.
Afore lines echoed in my head,
There was a huge number for how many times,
Still less than the number of goals Arsenal missed,
As though scoring goals is committing crimes.
After the loss, Arteta spoke about a psychological reset is recommended for the team, having won one in the last seven in all competitions. If you beg for my opinion, I may form one and then tell. For now, I believe and talk/write as a gooner and the trust remains with the team. This is not something unprecedented, not something we didn't know would happen. It's our Arsenal F.C., better Arsenal F.C. Yes, we bottle every season, usually pre-climax. This time the omen has sufficed mid-season and has subdued as well. High hopes.
Already touching the Nadir, only one way to slide now. Come next game, watch the Arsenal we like to watch. The juggernauts.
Cheers and COYG
